ARTIST STATEMENT
VICTORIA ZHOOK
My works are a tribute to my furry companions, to celebrate their journey of life. I utilised rabbits forms and medical supplies to create this collection hoping to form a better bond between humans and rabbits. Showcasing a small animals’ life through the form of art. These small loving non vocal companions are often overlooked when it comes to vet care and specialised medical resources. I hope to raise awareness regarding the joys and challenges of caring for these loving and complex creatures, hopefully rewriting the existing narrative of simply being a gift or gimmick to pass the time.
