ARTIST STATEMENT
GAIA MARIA WALICKA
Gaia Maria Walicka is a Melbourne based interdisciplinary artist practicing primarily in jewellery and object based practice. Her practice investigates the boundaries of the body and its entanglement with the external world, in doing so she considers the themes of contemporary bodies, identity and the in-between. Her practice is an ongoing inquiry into the relationship between self and world.
