ARTIST STATEMENT
YIN-YU TSENG
Legs (2019) experiments with diverse materials and geometric shape to present playful form between sculptural objects and jewelleries. Each of the biomorphic kinetic jewellery objects is finished with a different shaped handle to highlight their tactile nature. The handles are placed in ways that trigger a desire to touch, to feel and to play with my work. With combinations of the tactile, kinetic and sonic aspects in its creation, the series further enquires into our emotional resonance when engaging objects to reach imaginary place.
