ARTIST STATEMENT
MADELINE WRIGHT
My practice explores the shapes of my immediate landscape, and those of my ancestors, layered upon dazed and moody memories; mapping these moments as categorically gridded enamel typologies. I have an interest in contemporary enamel work, combining swift, lazy sketches with the patience and technacy of working with powdered glass.
A student of Melbourne Polytechnic and RMIT, I am currently a jewellery and textiles teacher in a secondary school.
