ARTIST STATEMENT
ANN WELTON
My graduate vessels were an exploration of the power of narrative and repetition in processing trauma experienced in relationships and life events. The process of texturing and enamelling thin copper sheet was a vehicle for expressing the complex interaction between confronting trauma and developing resilience.
