Treasure lockets is a series of three silver lockets, each housing miniature cast objects. The lockets' chain and handmade carabiner attachment resemble pocket watch chains and allude to the passage of time. The toys are inspired by found objects from my own personal childhood collection and that of my fathers from when he was a child. The act of opening and closing the lockets mirrors the interplay of concealing and revealing aspects of oneself and one's past. It serves as a symbol of how we all harbour hidden facets that we choose to share or keep hidden. From the outside, the lockets appear as shiny and delicate objects, but when opened, they reveal whimsical treasures within, emblematic of the delightful surprises that lie within each of us. In creating these pieces, I employed various techniques, including roller printing fabric, press forming, hinge making, and sand casting. My aim was to create pieces that strike a balance between seriousness and levity. While I value technical proficiency and seriousness in my art, I also stay true to my personal style, infusing elements of fun and whimsy through the miniature cast toys. My intention with this series is to evoke a range of emotions and contemplation in the viewer. I hope they will reflect on their own inner worlds, considering the parts they openly share with others and those they hold concealed. Additionally, my hope is that the viewers take pleasure in exploring the lockets and experience the delightful surprise when they open them. Each locket is an ode to a different person in my life, with the miniatures inside representing my mother, my father, or my brother. Unique techniques were employed for each piece to symbolise each person's individuality.

Treasure lockets encapsulates my vision of melding craftsmanship, nostalgia, and personal narrative into wearable art that invites contemplation and playfulness, bridging the gap between the hidden and the revealed.
